FEMA – EMI suspends all on-campus training activities

Mar 16, 2020 | What's New

The National Emergency Training Center and the Center For Domestic Preparedness are suspending all on-campus training activities for a period of four (4) weeks, beginning 3/15/2020 through 4/11/2020. Off-campus, locally delivered training (including NDPC offerings) will continue at the discretion of the hosting jurisdiction or agency. However, a number of hosting jurisdictions and agencies have already cancelled or postponed local offerings.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) continues to monitor the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as it relates to COVID-19. To mitigate the spread of COVID-19, the CDC is encouraging organizations to promote social distancing, hold meetings via videoconferencing, reduce non-essential travel, and adjust or postpone events and gatherings.

EMI will work to reschedule courses for later in the year to the maximum extent possible and will send additional information as they have updates.

EMI will push appropriate updates through social media and their website.
